Demonstrating stable growth, the popularity of vehicles equipped with diesel power units pushed the bosses of the German Porsche concern to a detailed study of the possibility of creating a new version of the premium Cayenne crossover with a high -performance engine operating on a “heavy” fuel. At the moment, the German company offers a Cayenne model with only one diesel engine — a three -liter installation that produces two hundred forty -five horsepower and 550 nm of the maximum torque. From the point of view of most owners of cars with such a motor, the power of the “engine” is clearly not enough for a sports SUV for a truly dynamic acceleration. From zero to one hundred kilometers per hour, the vehicle accelerates in seven and a half seconds, continuing to gain speed up to a mark of two hundred twenty kilometers per hour.
