Facing furnaces using ceramic tiles

Before proceeding with the cladding, some preparatory work should be performed with masonry seams and surface of the furnace. The walls must be thoroughly cleaned of various contaminants. The masonry seams should be partially laid to a depth of at least ten millimeters. It is advisable to fix an additional metal mesh on the stove, the cell of which will be no more than 15 × 15 centimeters. In order to fix the wire mesh, one hundred millimeter nails are suitable, which will need to be driven into the masonry seams, putting wide metal washers on them.
