Silicate brick is a type of silicate concrete, consists of a mixture of sand and additives in a ratio of 9/1. It has great moisture absorption, high thermal conductivity and greater weight. Therefore, it is not used in the construction of facades and basements, and it is also not recommended to be used in rooms with high humidity. Perhaps the only advantage of silicate brick is its good sound insulation, so internal partitions are most often erected from it.
