New building material

The relief and hardening of concrete and reinforced concrete structures is one of the main tasks in the construction business. In the foreign technical periodicals, reports have long appeared about the new light material for the manufacture of concrete — expanded clay gravel, obtained when firing some fusible clays and shales. For the first time, such a material was received in the United States by the method of engineer Hyde and was called «Haidite».
